The Architects Registration Board is a statutory authority responsible for registering architects, promoting architectural training, conducting inquiries into the conduct of architects, investigating misuse of the title Architect, and promoting a better understanding of architectural matters in the country. You can contact the Board to:

  1. Check a person’s registration status.
  2. Enquire about making a complaint or lodging a complaint about an architect.
  3. Notify possible misuse of the title ‘architect’ by persons or corporations and firms whose names do not appear on the list of registered and practicing architects.
  4. Inspect the Register of Architects or the List of Architect Corporations or Firms associated with architects.

It is important to note the difference between the Architects Registration Board and the Uganda Society of Architects. As a professional association, the Society’s primary objective is to promote the interests of its members and also act as a lobby group.
