Our Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Mandate

Our Mandate:

Architects Registration Board (ARB) is a Statutory Body established by an Act of Parliament in 1996. The Architects Registration Act, Cap 269 was passed into law to empower regulation and maintenance of the standards and practice of Architecture in Uganda.

It provides for the establishment of the Architects Registration Board.

The mandate of the Board in accordance with Section 4 of this Act is to:

  1. Register architects.
  2. Make by-laws for the better carrying into effect the provisions of this act.
  3. Prescribe or regulate the conduct of architects in Uganda.
  4. Promote training in architectural sciences.
