Board Member
Robert is a graduate of architecture from Makerere University with a postgraduate degree in Construction Management from Greenwich University, London. He has attended short courses in Construction Adjudication, and he is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of the UK. He is a registered architect and construction management professional with over 26 years experience in Design, Supervision and Project Management of building projects in Uganda, Kenya, Ghana and UK. He is a co-founder and Managing Director at Arch Forum Ltd, a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy firm that was established in 2003.
Robert has a wealth of experience and awareness of contemporary environmental & economic issues influencing construction of buildings especially public infrastructure. He is passionate about efficiency, productivity and health and safety in the construction industry. Over the years, he has successfully managed and coordinated construction teams that have been in-charge of the delivery of health and education infrastructure all over Uganda. He has also had stints and worked with small to medium sized construction projects in Kenya, UK and Ghana
He is a Fellow and Past President of the Uganda Society of Architects, Past President of the East Africa Institute of Architects, Past President of the Rotary Club of Kiwatule and Past President of MACOSA, the alumni association for Makerere College School. Robert brings corporate governance experience to the Board of the Architects Registration Board, having served as a board member on various boards for commercial and not for profit organisations. He is married to Victoria Kayaga Kiggundu and together they have children.
