Board Member
Arch. Verna is currently the Principal Architect at Evolution Edge. She has experience in housing project design, contract administration and arbitration, condominium planning and registration, project financing, end buyer financing and structuring, implementing and monitoring of Joint Venture Partnerships.
Arch. Verna is a part-time lecturer of Urbanism at the Department of Architecture, International University of East Africa.
She is a Registered Architect and Member of the Uganda Society of Architects and has completed an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Herriot Watt University. She graduated with a Masters of Architecture in Human Settlements from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. She also holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Makerere University.
Arch. Verna served at National Housing and Construction Company Limited (NHCCL) from 1999 to 2013 in various portfolios including that of Architect, Project Development Manager, Contract Administration Manager, and General Manager of the NHCCL subsidiary, NH-MKP. She was a long-standing member of the Tender Committee.
Arch. Verna is a member of the Architects Registration Board. She has served the Uganda Society of Architects (USA) in various capacities including the positions of Honorary Secretary and Vice President of the Society. She also represented the Society as a councilor at Kampala Capital City Authority. She continues to serve as a resource in the Graduate Trainings held by the Uganda Society of Architects annually. Arch. Verna is a founding member of the Urbanism Chapter of the Uganda Society of Architects.
